How can the study of microfinance help students learn French?  How can it enhance our understanding of Francophone cultures, and in particular of Francophone women’s studies?  For students of business French, how can we include microfinance to expand the traditional business French course to include a variety of cultural practices, including those outside of Western Europe?  This site is devoted to these issues and to exploring larger questions of the efficacy of microfinance programs as positive business models for women.
